Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer · Co-founder
Nicholas Dunkley is the Chief Executive Officer of SportsBrain — the Caribbean's first AI Sports Lab — and is responsible for the company's commercial strategy, client partnerships, and day-to-day operations. He co-founded SportsBrain alongside his brother Adrian Dunkley, bringing the commercial intelligence and leadership necessary to translate world-class AI research into real impact for Caribbean athletes.
With over eight years of experience spanning financial analysis, strategic planning, customer success, and business development, Nicholas brings a sharp, data-led approach to leadership. He has built his career at the intersection of numbers and people — mastering the discipline of translating complex data into clear commercial decisions. His experience running customer success and business insights operations across the Caribbean gives him a deep understanding of what organisations in the region need to grow.
As CEO, Nicholas drives SportsBrain's partnerships with Caribbean sports federations, national associations, youth development programmes, schools, and government bodies. His goal is to ensure that every organisation in the Caribbean — regardless of budget or size — has access to the performance intelligence tools that elite programmes in wealthier nations take for granted.
Nicholas is a believer in the extraordinary potential of Caribbean sport. He has seen, first-hand, what happens when talented athletes are given the right infrastructure, the right tools, and the right opportunities. SportsBrain is the vehicle he and his brother built to give every Caribbean athlete a fair chance at greatness.
Core Competencies
"Every Caribbean athlete deserves the same tools, the same data, and the same intelligent advantage as the best-funded programmes in the world."
Nicholas Dunkley, CEO — SportsBrainCo-founder & AI Researcher
Co-founder · Physicist · AI Scientist
Adrian Dunkley is the Co-founder and AI Researcher behind SportsBrain. A Physicist by academic training, he has spent over fifteen years developing artificial intelligence systems with real-world impact — building the scientific and engineering foundation on which SportsBrain's technology rests.
Adrian co-founded SportsBrain alongside his brother Nicholas, driven by a shared belief that Caribbean athletes deserve the same world-class sports science infrastructure available to programmes in Europe and North America. The AI research he began in 2014 — a reinforcement learning coaching system — became the engine behind SportsBrain's AI Agent Coach.
He is the founder of the Caribbean's first AI company, which provides the broader AI and technology ecosystem that SportsBrain draws on. His work spans reinforcement learning, computer vision, predictive modelling, and AI agent design — all directly applied to Caribbean sport.
Adrian was named Caribbean AI Founder of the Year 2023, Innovator of the Year Jamaica 2023, and EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2024. He is an IBM Global AI Mentor, a Forbes Technology Council member, and a member of Jamaica's National AI Task Force.
